Create a new News post

To create a new News post:

  1. From the dashboard, select POSTS > ALL POSTS.
  2. Find any post that has NEWS listed in the category column.
  3. Mouse over the post title and click DUPLICATE THIS.

You have created a copy of the selected post that is unpublished and set to DRAFT mode. It will not be live on the site until you click PUBLISH.

The copy has all of the correct settings for a NEWS post.

  1. Click the title of the draft post or mouse over the title and click the EDIT link.
  2. Change the title in the title field to your new news item headline.
  3. In the ADDITIONAL POST DATA area, select an icon to go with the news item.
  4. In the main column of the post dialog window, update the content for your new news item.
  5. Once all your changes are made, click the blue PUBLISH button to publish your new news post.

Organize News Posts

All news posts are organized by date, with the most recent news item displayed at the top of the page.
